Change When Things Are Going Good

I was recently meditating on change and how it often feels easier to embrace when things aren’t going well. In those moments, change seems necessary—something has to shift—a feeling of I don’t want to do this anymore.

But why does change also come when things are going well? You know, when everything is flowing easily and effortlessly, and then suddenly, you're guided in a new direction, or unexpected obstacles arise seemingly out of nowhere?

The ancestors shared that change is a natural state of being. It doesn’t revolve around whether things are going well or not—it simply is. Everything is constantly shifting. If life flows smoothly for too long without change, the energy can become stale or stagnant.

This doesn’t mean that good flow can’t lead to more good flow; it simply means that nothing can remain the same forever. Be open to change. Embrace the cycle of birth, growth, death, and renewal. Instead of seeing change as something going wrong, recognize it as an opportunity for expansion and transformation.
